SecularProLife.org
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this group involved with church-state issues like the Pledge of Allegiance?
No. Our sole focus is on threats to the unborn.

Can religious people be part of SecularProLife.org?
Yes- people of any faith or no faith are welcome here. It's fine if your pro-life beliefs are influenced by a religious text or tradition. We recognize that most pro-lifers have multiple reasons for opposing abortion. While we focus on secular reasons here, religion does have a role to play in the debate.

Where do you stand on sex education?
Sex education, whether abstinence-based or contraception-based, is a vital tool for preventing abortions. Unfortunately, it is not enough. Many students break abstinence pledges or use contraception incorrectly. Even those who use contraception properly can become pregnant. There will always be a need for crisis pregnancy services.

Why is SecularProLife.org needed?
Happily, polls have shown that a greater percentage of young people are pro-life compared to previous generations. At the same time, church attendance and other measures of religiosity have been declining. If we are going to create a world where abortion is unthinkable for everyone, we must adapt to these new dynamics.

Is there a story behind your logo?
Yes. The image in our logo is a koru, which symbolizes new life in the Maori culture.
